Work at Bashkol over the past 2 years has resulted in the identification of substantial areas of gold and copper mineralisation in the order of 1g/t in altered Proterozoic granite at the Bekbulaktor prospect. At Bekbulaktor the mineralisation has been traced on surface in apparent zones over an area of approximately 3 square kilometres, and is still open in three directions. The most substantial zone identified to date is 1,500 metres long and 500 metres The Bashkol licence area is in the north east of Kyrgyz Republic in the Tien Shan Gold Belt adjacent to a suture line which separates two tectonic units – the Northern Tien Shan and the Middle Tien Shan. This is a similar structural position to the Kumtor deposit which sits adjacent to the same suture line (the Nikolaev Line) some 75km along strike to the south-west. The Kumtor Gold Mine, operated by the Canadian listed Centerra Inc., began operation in 1997 and produces around 600,000 ounces of gold per year. The Bashkol licence area is at an altitude of 3,400m to 3,800m and has no permanent inhabitants.

Reconnaissance over the primary exploration target stretching 15 kilometres to the south-west from Bekbulaktor has identified widespread gold and copper mineralisation along the entire length of the target area, with one channel sample across a contact zone at Molo reporting 14 metres of high grade gold, copper and silver.
Further reconnaissance work is planned for the second priority exploration target, a band of mineralised Permian granite north of the Nikolaev Line.

2012 Programme
The work programme for 2012 has three objectives:
- 1. Construct road access to the Bekbulaktor prospect and establish a camp in order to allow exploration activity to proceed all year round.
- 2. Drill approximately 3,700 metres of diamond holes at Bekbulaktor in order to get a first pass impression of the potential size and grade of an eventual resource.
- 3. Follow up positive results from the reconnaissance programme at Molo and Sharkratma with geophysics and geochemistry, which would lead to a systematic trenching and channel sampling programme.
